I have never heard of a mid-morning date - how very modern! In which case you should apply the same thinking to your outfit choice. I’m not sure if the date is week day or weekend, which - to be honest - does affect the ensemble. If it is weekday, you can get away with being quite chic. He will assume you are extremely important at work, which will completely play to your advantage. Try out a pair of new season ankle boots; Topshop have some really edgy styles that are both comfortable and on-trend. A slim pair of trousers or even dark jeans should be worn to complement a cute top - a simple but great fitting T-shirt will do nicely under a sleek blazer. Now, for a weekend date you can be a little more adventurous. Demonstrate your eye for style but don’t look like you’ve tried too hard. An oversized knit and leggings is an easy and failsafe weekend look. Otherwise, and don’t judge me here, but the simple jeans and a white tee combo never seems to fail. Tie your hair in a neat ponytail and channel that ‘I just had a shower and need very little effort to look hot’ thing. Good luck!
